Hi, this does not work for my computer. I took over the Quickbooks from someone else and my file is on a USB. It will not let me place it on my hard drive because it says it is open on a server somewhere and I don't know how to close it. Please let me know if there is a way to override this so I can have the file on my hard drive - I don't think the quickfix will work until it is there because it cannot find it at the moment.

When I go to Product Information, there is no option for me to turn it off. I also cannot find a .tlg file. I renamed the .nd file and nothing happened.
I do not have access to any other files from Quickbooks. I was given this file from someone else to take over, so I'm assuming she would be the host server and I'll have to get in touch with her?

It is possible the original file is hosted at the server in multi-user mode. Ask her to send you the backup file (i.e QBB). Another option, call and ask Intuit Data Support to fix your file. Otherwise, you have to purchase a 3rd party file repair service.
This did not work. I am not using multi user and my files are located on my hard drive. I have done the tool hub and I have done the uninstall repair, neither work.
I downloaded the quickbooks tool hub and followed the instructions. It did not fix my problem. I have to restart the computer every time I want to use quickbooks. This is a single laptop not a server with multiple users.
