Let's perform some troubleshooting to get rid of this error message fro you to renew your subscription, sri-ramasubbu.

 

I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case about the error code 81708 when resubscribing to your Online account. There are some possible reasons why you encounter an error message when paying your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription.

 

Among these are:

  • The card is over the limit.
  • The card has expired.
  • The account number is invalid.
  • The card has been listed as lost or stolen.
  • The card-issuing bank won’t authorize the card electronically.
  • The card was declined, with no other information provided by the processor.

To resolve this, let's ensure we enter the correct Credit or Debit card number on the Payment Information page. Then, ensure the Billing Address details don't have any special characters such as hyphens, commas and periods. You’ll have to verify if the billing address in QuickBooks is the same as the one shown on your credit card statement.

 

Then, try accessing QBO using a web browser and click the Subscribe button again.

I just figured out our account apparently got suspended late last month and I just tried to Reactivate using both 2 different Credit/Debit Cards and via Bank Transfer (Routing Number, etc.) and got 81708 as well each time. Tried a total of 6 times as I'm pretty panicked.  I plan to call in the morning as I had no idea our account was past due. I will admit we our business has been devastated by the Pandemic as our clients are Restaurants, Bars, Live Music Venues, Hotels, Entertainment Venues/Attractions and other destinations and I've been focused on side hustles as I used to spend at least an hour a day working in our Quickbooks accounts.  But I had no idea our account was suspended. I apparently had just resent some invoices to clients the day before it was shut down. :-(  Please advise!!! I plan to call tomorrow (Monday) morning as this is TOP PRIORITY!!  But I'm not sure what number to call.  I'm really, really concerned about this. Thanks in advance for the help!!

There are ways on how we can get rid of the error so we can update your billing information and get back to business. A browser-related issue might have caused QuickBooks not to update when you enter your billing information. 

 

You can perform a few troubleshooting steps, by logging in to your account through a private browser. From there, you can update your billing information. If you're able to successfully do so, we can sign out and sign back in through the regular browser. Then, clear the cache. Using other browsers can also help us get rid of errors since they store a different cache.
