I have enhanced payroll online and my payroll checks will not print correctly and when I go to payroll settings and preferences from the gear icon I have NO preferences to align the printer

How do I find the preferences in my payroll settings to align my printer to print payroll checks> . I have no such option?

I can help you fix the alignment of your paychecks, lindylou22.

When printing your paychecks, you'll have to select Pre-printed in the Payroll Settings.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Under Your Company, click Payroll Settings.
  3. Under Preferences, click Paycheck Printing.
  4. In the Paycheck and Pay Stub Printing section, click the radio button for Preprinted QuickBooks-compatible voucher check stock.
  5. Click OK.

Then, close and reopen QuickBooks and try to print the paychecks again. If the same thing happens, you can find more solutions in this article: Troubleshoot printing paychecks, pay stubs, and forms.

There is NO preferences in payroll settings. There is just bank account , accounting preferences, shared data and email preference.
