I just signed in to QuickBooks for the first time. When I try to connect to my bank account it takes me to a new page with a white box. Using Opera web browser.

I have disabled Tamper Monkey and uBlock Origin, and reloaded the page, but no change.  All other banking and credit card functions work fine in this browser.  My only problem is with QuickBooks.

Thanks for going through the steps provided by my colleague above, @pml2269487.

Also, I appreciate you for providing additional details. To get this sort out. Let's access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) using Chrome or other supported browsers

From there, I recommend going through the steps again provided by my colleague juVielL.

Hello, @pml2269487.

When connecting your bank with QuickBooks, you'll be routed to a landing page where you'll have to enter your online banking login credentials.

Just to clarify, what specific bank are you trying to connect? Also, have you tried using a private browser in connecting your bank with QuickBooks? Any details about your concern can help us narrow things down and provide you with accurate resolution.

Meanwhile, here are other possible reasons why you're unable to connect your bank with QuickBooks.

  • They may have implemented changes to their service offerings, Web Connect or Direct Connect.
  • An update on your bank’s information such as the name (bank merger), account number and login credentials require you to refresh it in QuickBooks.
  • You may have an Inactive Bank Account enabled for Online Banking in QuickBooks.
  • There may be ongoing maintenance on your bank’s website.

In the meantime, let's perform the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the connectivity error prompt you've received and connect your bank with QuickBooks.

    1. Log in to your bank’s website outside QuickBooks.

    2. Review your posted transactions and check for any connectivity error notifications.

    3. Once completed, log in to your QuickBooks Online account.

    4. Let’s perform a manual update on your connected bank account.

          a. Go to the Banking menu.

          b. Choose the Banking tab.

          c. Select your bank account.

          d. Click Update.

          e. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.

          f. Click the Continue update button.

You can check this article to learn more about how to add your bank and credit card accounts: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Hello,

Thank you for responding.  I never even get to the bank selection step.  This problem is entirely within the Quickbooks software and how it may be interacting with my web browser.  I followed the steps you listed below and this is as far as I get:

As soon as I get to the banking tab, I see a white square and nothing else.  I have tried multiple times and disabled browser add-ons.  I do not experience this problem on any other website, including my bank, credit card, brokerage, etc.  Quickbooks is the only place I encounter this.  It appears that something is not loading, because no bank selection page is blank.  When I watch the instruction video, I see there should be a list of common banks, such as Bank of America, to select from.  I see nothing.

I just signed in to QuickBooks for the first time. When I try to connect to my bank account it takes me to a new page with a white box. Using Opera web browser.

I did an "Inspect Element" on the white box and scrolled down to find the following error messages.

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_ADBLOCKER

Note, that my Ad  Blocker (uBlockOrigin), so I'm not sure why that message is appearing or why only QuickBooks is affected.  I have disabled uBlockOring and TamperMonkey for Quickbooks.  I don't normally have to do this on my banking, credit card, and brokerage accounts.  Why is my browser having such a hard time with Quickbooks website and not other financial websites?

Any suggestions?
