I'm getting an NSIS Error when trying to install the QuickBooks Online desktop app on Windows - it says "Error Launching Installer" - how can I fix?

Hello there, @nurdevelopment

This error is usually caused by incomplete download files, installation errors, or damaged files in the QuickBooks download folder. installing QuickBooks Online Desktop App has there own recommended specs.

  • Windows PC: Windows 7 or newer, Intel Core i5 or comparable processor (2015 or newer) with at least 4 GB of RAM. You'll need Adobe Reader or higher to print forms.
  • Mac: OS X "Panther" 10.13 or newer.
  • Internet connection: 3 Mbps or higher.

This is to ensure that your computer, network, and operating system are compatible with QuickBooks to avoid errors like this.

Also, when downloading QuickBooks, you need to consider its system requirements and make sure your computer is meeting the needed operating system.

Please let me know if you're referring to something else or have other questions.  I'm always here to help you out.

Hi there. I re-downloaded the file several times, cleared cache, tried different browsers, etc...

I believe in a chat I had with another support rep, it's known to the engineering team that there is an issue with the installer. Is that your understanding? I'm still without the QBO desktop app...
