In the reports side I need to move an HSA saving to HSA savings. How can that be done

To ensure that I'm on the same page, are these two different HSA plans? If so, it would also be helpful to know if there is a difference in taxability for them, such as one being pretax and the other taxable.

Can I speak to someone who could help me?

Cannot find customer service phone number.

The number I had is no longer in service.

 

Last week there was a box that came on the screen where I could have QB call me.

They called within 5 minutes, but while I was waiting for a rep to come on the line, I was cut off.

Welcome to the Community, @Terri13. I can get you pointed in the right direction for speaking with support.

 

Here's how you can request a callback from within QuickBooks Online:

 

  1. Click the Help icon in the upper right of the screen.
  2. Select Contact US on the pop-up. 
  3. Enter your question in the How can we help? field and choose Continue
  4. Click Get a callback.
  5. Enter your contact information.
  6. Select Call me.

Should you not see the option for Get a callback, you can toggle it by entering Support in How can we help?.

Welcome to the Community, @Mariach. I can provide clarification on undoing a reconcile. 

 

Prior to undoing a reconcile, it's recommended to review several things. One example of this is that undoing a reconcile may not reveal the root cause of an issue. I'm including an article which provides additional insight into this, as well as the steps to undo one: How to unreconcile a transaction or undo a reconciliation.

 

Additionally, since you're reconciling, I recommend the following resource: Reconcile Hub. Here you can locate multiple articles to assist with every step of the process.

Hello there, Lisam Properties.

 

If you're trying to download a backup file from Intuit Data Protect, I'll show you how:

  1. Open Intuit Data Protect, then choose Restore from Backup to view the list of files to be downloaded.
  2. Choose the file you'd like to download, then click Continue.
  3. In the Select Backup Version window, choose the version you'd like to restore, then click Close.
  4. You can now see the restore points. Click Continue.
  5. Choose where you want to restore the backup, then click Restore.
  6. In the Restore Completed window, click OK.

I was working on line with someone and got cut off.  My company has the capability to email my payroll forms etc.  I registered directly with the EFTPS site and received a PIN and enrollment number.  I really need to change my email address as the one registered to this company right now does not work anymore.  I changed it.  HELP!

Hi there jenwavg5800,

 

You can update your email address from the company setting. I'll show you how to get there.

  1. Click Company, then My Company.
  2. Click the Manage Your Account. Then, log in to your account. 
  3. In the Manage your QuickBooks page, select the product or service you would like to manage.
  4. Check if you are logged in the correct company by looking at the top right corner. If not, choose the correct company from the drop-down.
  5. Scroll down to the Authorized Users list.
  6. Click Edit beside your name.
  7. Enter your new email address, then Save. Click on the X button to get back to the home page.

Every time I use Quick books it puts "folders " on my desk top.  It put 6 white "sheets of paper" on the desk top and 3 folders for the 3 companies I restored.  How can I get it to stop putting the paper on the desktop.  Can I just delete them

Everytime I use quickbooks it puts "white sheets of paper" on the desk top.  How do I stop the program from doing that. Can I delete them without loosing any information? I also am using a new computer so it also put the restored file folder for my 3 companies on the desk top.  Do I need to keep them also.

When you open QuickBooks, it should not display folder locations of the company files, Ricki. It'd be best not to delete the pop-up folders to avoid losing any data.

 

It's possible that the issue is caused by damaged QuickBooks components. We can repair the program to get rid of this issue:

  1. Close QuickBooks and the affected folders.
  2. To open the Computer window, press Windows + E on your keyboard.
    Note:  You can click the Computer tab in Windows 10, 8.1 and 8.
  3. Click Uninstall or change a program.
  4. Highlight QuickBooks Desktop and click Uninstall/Change.
  5. Click Next and select the Repair radio button.
  6. Click Next again and select Repair.
  7. Click Finish.

After the repair process, try opening QuickBooks again. If the same thing happens, I'd recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can further investigate it and provide additional troubleshooting steps.

  1. Click Help at the top menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. At the bottom of the Have a Question? window, click Contact us.
  3. Enter the details of your concern and click Continue.
  4. Choose how you want to reach them and enter the needed information.

it has been seven years since I learned about this program and I need to put all my recipts in to the program and cant figure it out

I see that you've posted on a thread for QuickBooks Online (QBO) and wanted to let you know that the following resources are for that product. Should you be using a different version, please let me know so I can provide you with that information.

 

There are multiple ways to add receipts into QBO, such as emailing them or uploading them with the phone app. The following article provides an overview of these options and the steps to add them: Manage your receipts in the Receipts tab.

Unable to get into your QBO account usually happens if you're encountering bugs when loading a website. Let's use your browser's private window to confirm:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P.
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl Shift P.
  • Safari: press Command Shift N.

If you logged in successfully, we can go ahead and clear the browser cache to get a clean slate for your browser. Refer to this link for detailed steps: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.

 

You can also use a different browser since every browser uses a different cache storage folder on your computer.  If you need more steps, check out this link and proceed to Step 3: Log into QBO.
