I need to export my customer list from Quickbooks Online, but I keep getting an error with a statement to try again in a few minutes. It never works.

I've tried this using the Mac app, Chrome on a Mac and Internet Explorer on a PC. All with the same result.

I need to export my customer list from Quickbooks Online, but I keep getting an error with a statement to try again in a few minutes. It never works.

I appreciate that you've performed a few browser troubleshooting steps ahead, mark136. 

 

We're currently looking into the cause why we're unable to export customer lists. Our engineers are investigating and they're looking for a permanent fix to this issue. I suggest reaching out to us so we can add your account to the notification list. 

 

Here's how to contact us:

  1. Go to the Help icon and click Contact us
  2. Enter your concern something like Unable to export Customer Lists using the Export Data option. 
  3. Click Let's talk and choose to either Chat or Call us. 

In the meantime, we can export our customer list through the Reports page. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Enter in the search field, enter Customer Contact List
  3. We can click the Customize button at the upper-right to filter to the information we only need. 
  4. Click Run report.
  5. At the upper-right of the report, click the Export icon and choose either to Excel or PDF.

Updates and a fix will be sent via email. Thanks for your patience and keep safe!
