I need to update cc# for payment but your system won't accept the new info

To clarify, are you trying to update the credit card information for QuickBooks Payments? If so, you can follow these steps:


  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. From the Account drop-down menu, select Login & Merchant Accounts.
  3. Click Change your User ID, Email, and Password.
  4. Click Sign in & security, then update the needed account info.

To change the credit card or account you use to pay for QuickBooks Desktop and services like payroll, here are the steps:


  1. Sign in to
  2. Find your app or subscription in the Products & Services > Details.
  3. In the Billing Information section, find Payment Method, then select Edit.
  4. Update your information and then click Save and Close.
