I'm here to help you switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), bonesandfluff.

You can cancel QBSE and sign up again for QBO. Let me show you how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser.
  2. Select the Gear ⚙ icon.
  3. Select Billing Info and then Cancel subscription.

You'll receive an email confirming the cancellation process.

To start with QBO, you can visit this link to choose your plan: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/. Toggle the on and off button if you want to buy or get a 30-day free trial.

If you've already started entering transaction in QBSE, you can switch to QBO.

Hello,

thanks for the help!

Thank you for joining the thread, @OldMan60.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) and QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) are two different services. Thus, you'll have to cancel your QBO account, then subscribe to QBSE.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then Account and settings.
  3. Click the Billing & subscription tab.
  4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.

Take note that you'll still have read-only access for a year before we permanently delete all your data. I suggest exporting the records and reports that you might need in the future.

Once done, you can now subscribe to QuickBooks Self-Employed through this link: QuickBooks Plans & Pricing. I also encourage visiting our Getting Started page to help set up your new account.

Additionally, we can export bank transactions using a CSV file into QBSE. Check this article on how to export list data in QBO. Then, import your CSV file into QBSE. I'll guide you on how.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Imports.
  3. Select an account and click on the Import older transactions link under Action.
  4. Follow the instructions to finish importing your data.
  5. Hit Import.

You can also add and connect your bank with QBSE. You'll want to check for a third-party application that can help transfer your data. Find apps that are compatible with QuickBooks at this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/.
