I'm happy to see you here in the Community, @17-05-1968.
Removing a company file from an existing company in QuickBooks Online will depend on the scenario that you're in. You've got me here to help you accomplish this goal.
If you're referring to removing a company file from you're existing account, you may cancel the subscription for that specific company file.
To do that:
- Make sure you have the company you need to delete open.
- Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.
- Choose Account and Settings.
- Select the Billing and Subscription tab.
- Click the blue Cancel link beside of the Subscription status.
- You'll be asked if you want to change your plan, call in, or continue to cancel. If you're sure, select Continue to cancel.
Here's a link that will give you the complete details about this process: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription or trial.
On the other hand, if you've been added as a user and want to detach this file from your list, you'll need to contact the company's master admin. This way, you can inform the admin to remove your users access so their company file will be eliminated from your list.
You may provide this article to the admin for more details about modify users access: Add, delete, or change user access.
I'm also sharing here some resources that you can check about the types of users and managing your QBO account for reference:
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll make sure you're taken care of. Have a good one.
