If my banks on line system goes down how do I reconnect? QB shows me connected, but also shows an error and no transactions downloaded for four days.
Thank you for providing some information about your banking concern, @osassc. Rest assured that I'm here to share the details to fix this.
Based on your scenario, it looks like your bank is performing system maintenance. This may be the reason QuickBooks Online (QBO) displays an error. Thus, it stops QBO from downloading transactions for four days now.
The data we receive depends on how your bank communicates with our system. Because of this, there is no need to reconnect the bank since it's still connected to QBO.
To help fix this, we'll need to determine the specific error you've received. If you see the Report Issue option, you can click it to notify us. That way, we'll work on our end to resolve this. If you're not seeing the option, I'd suggest clicking the specific link under Step 3 through this article: What To Do If Bank Transactions Won't Download Or There's A Bank Error.
Once resolved, let's go to the For Review tab to edit, assign, and categorize the transactions. Also, you can match them to the existing entries in the software. Doing so will help you ensure your financial records are accurate. To learn more about this process, check out this article: Categorizing Bank Transactions.
Additionally, I'd want to make sure this banking issue will be taken care of. Can I ask for the name of the bank you're trying to download the transactions in QBO? Also, may I know what is the error message? Just click the Reply button below. Any details are much appreciated. This way, I can check here on my end if there's an ongoing investigation about the banking error and how to fix it.
I'll be right here to help if you need further assistance. Take care always. Stay healthy, @osassc.
