Re: Im trying to move my data from QBO to desktop when I go to export data the interview does not...

Hello nrpauto2,

Internet Explorer version 10 or higher is the only supported browser when exporting QBO company file to QuickBooks Desktop. The pop-up blocker must be turned off from the browser's setting so the export data interview will show.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Tools/Gear icon on the IE window.
  2. Select Internet options.
  3. In the Privacy & Security tab, turn off the Block pop-ups

Let's also add Intuit.com as a trusted site:

  1. Select the Tools/Gear icon on the IE window.
  2. Select Internet options.
  3. In the Privacy & Security tab, select the Trusted sites icon and click on Sites.
  4. Add Intuit.com in the Add this website to the zone field and click on Add.
  5. Click on Close.
  6. Click on Apply1.PNG

Then, please go ahead and try to export the QBO company file again. Click on the Gear icon, select Export Data, and click on Moving to QuickBooks Desktop.

In case you're still unable to view the export data interview, let's make sure these requirements are meet before converting:

  • Exporting QBO file to QB Desktop is only available in the US version. For non-US versions, you can export list items such as customers, vendors, products and services, chart of accounts into Excel then import them into Desktop.
  • Log in as the Master Administrator, Company Administrator, or invited accountant.
  • Use the Internet Explorer 10 or higher.
  • If you don't have QB Desktop installed, download a trial for the purpose of exporting. QuickBooks Desktop trial links.
  • 64-bit version of IE is unsupported.
  • ActiveX is required to export from QBO.

If one requirement is missing, that's the reason the export data interview didn't pop-up. Otherwise, please clear the browser's cache. Unresponsive behavior of a browser can lead to exporting issues.

Once the conversion has completed, please click on the link and select QuickBooks Desktop to read more articles that'll help you set up your company file: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/get-started/07?product=QuickBooks%20Desktop
