Install QB Pro 2018 on Windows 10 Version 2004
Something screwy was going on with my QB Desktop 2018. Won't take latest web patch. So I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. Now I get errors. I've already run the Desktop Install diagnostic repair tool.
Error Installing: Quickbooks.msi returned 1603: Fatal error during installation
I don't believe internet explorer is on my computer anymore. Is that a requirement? Just Edge browser. There is no way to reinstall it on this version of windows (it is not listed in the "turn windows features on/off" screen).
Hey there, @gmmorrell.
Thanks for running our install diagnostic repair tool. Awesome job choosing to run that tool as that is what we typically run before we try further troubleshooting.
Error 1603 usually occurs when there's a problem installing Microsoft .NET Framework or a damaged Windows Installer. Since you stated that you've ran our install diagnostic repair tool, there's a list of things that get passed (green check) and things that have not (red X). Could you provide a screenshot of that list, this way we can know what direction we need to go in order to resolve this issue. Check out the screenshot below as an example.
Once I can take a look at your screenshot, I will know more details about this error. Some of the steps we will check into will be:
