Installation of Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2020

I'll share some insights about upgrading QuickBooks Desktop.

Your right, the migration process involves exporting and importing your company file. When we upgrade to QBDT 2020, we'll have to start updating your QuickBooks Desktop version and company file to the 2012 version, then 2016, and 2020 to avoid data compatibility issues.

You can download the trial versions through this link: Download QuickBooks Desktop. Once you're done downloading, we can now start installing them. At the same time, we'll also have to upgrade your company files after switching to a new version of QuickBooks Desktop. Then, we need to create a backup copy and restore it to the next one until you can restore and open it to QuickBooks 2020.

1. Open QuickBooks.
2. Select Help from the top menu bar.
3. Go to QuickBooks Desktop Help.
4. Click Contact Us.
5. Enter "Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop 2007 to the new QuickBooks Desktop 2020 version" in the description field, then click Continue.
6. Select Message an Agent.

You won't be able to upgrade your data file in one big jump. Contact and ask Intuit Data Service to upgrade your file. Otherwise, you may purchase a 3rd party upgrade service. 

my daughter purchased this progam last summ er. can i still install this over my existing program?

However, you'll have to ready your product and license number:

• If you bought QuickBooks directly from our website, you can find this info in the original purchase email.
• If you purchased it from a retail store, look for the label in the original package.
