Inventory Adjustments in Enterprise 2022

Has any one had an issue with Adjusting Lot # in the Inventory Adjustments program?  The program is not reading the lot quantity on hand, and is instead returning a lot qty of 0.  I submitted a case and no one can fix it.  The Enterprise Tech department phone number, has been re-routed to the Premier and Pro department.  I submitted an on-line ticket, that said they would call me in 5 minutes.  NO CALL.  I'm so frustrated with their customer service.

Inventory Adjustments in Enterprise 2022

Hi there, @john-dimier

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community for support. I'm happy to lend a hand with your qty on-hand issues.

It sounds like you might have data damage that's causing the issue. Let's use the Rebuild Data tool that can resolve minor and common data damage. Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu, then click Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data.
  3. Click OK, then follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
  4. Let the tool repair your file. It may take some time. QuickBooks may seem stuck, but as long as you can move your mouse, the tool is working.
  5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
  6. Go to the File menu. Then hover over Utilities and select Verify Data.
  7. Let the tool check your file for any additional data issues.
  8. Hit OK once it's finished.

After you've gone through those steps, let's check your qty on hand. If you're still having issues, please let me know. I want to ensure I help you every step of the way.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your reply and look forward to chatting with you soon. Take care!

Oh.  We have done a Rebuild, Verify Data, in Admin.  We have applied patches.  We have gone through the Tools Hub with Level 2 (premier/pro).  We've tried it all.  It's a problem with the program coding.  I want to show the problem to a enterprise programmer so they can fix the program.  We are FDA approved and have to lot all medical devices.  We have to be able to adjust lot counts.  It's major problem for us.

Adjusting lot counts for your business need is our top priority, john-dimier.

Our support team may have been receiving a high volume of calls that's why they're unable to give you a callback. I recommend reaching out to them again to check for any updates. You also can provide the case number so they can easily track your concern.

However, if you still want to reach out to our developers' team, you can ask a question using this link: Intuit Developers In QuickBooks Desktop. Furthermore, you can create reports in QuickBooks and customize them according to how you want them to show. To give you more information about the process, check out this article for your reference: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Desktop.

Feel free to let me know if you have any concerns about inventory adjustments. I'll be right here to further assist you all the time.

I have been having the same issue!  Unable to adjust inventory by Lot #.

Did you ever find a way to do this?

Welcome to the thread, kama1.

I'm glad to assist you with adjusting inventory by Lot #.

To be sure we're on the same page, can you please provide me with more information about the challenges you encountered and if you received any error messages while trying to adjust inventory by Lot #? Any extra information will be helpful.

In the meantime, I can guide you through the steps to adjust inventory by Lot # in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to the "Lists" menu.
  2. Select "Item List" from the drop-down menu.
  3.  Locate the item you want to adjust and double-click on it to open the "Edit Item" window.
  4. In the "Edit Item" window, click on the "Inventory Information" tab.
  5. Look for the "Lot Number" field and enter the specific lot number you want to adjust.
  6. Click on the "Adjust Quantity/Value on Hand" button.
  7. In the "Adjust Quantity/Value on Hand" window, enter the new quantity for the selected lot number.
  8. Choose the appropriate adjustment account from the drop-down menu. This account is used to track the value of the adjustment.
  9. Click on the "Save & Close" button to save the changes.

By following these steps, you should be able to adjust inventory by Lot # in QBDT.

If you want to see all your inventory items grouped by lot number right from QuickBooks and make informed decisions in the future, you can use the Inventory Stock Status by Lot number report.

Let me know if you need further assistance in managing your inventory. I'll be here to lend a hand. Have a great day!
