Yes, it's possible to transfer QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2018 data to QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to help you with the process.
To get started, make sure to update your QuickBooks to the latest release. Then, review the size of your file. Make sure that it isn't too big to export. You can use this article on how to condense your QuickBooks Desktop file for import to QuickBooks Online.
Once done, here's how you can import your file to QBO if you're using QBDT Pro or Premier.

Your tag is QBSE. You can only able migrate data from QBD to QBO, not QBSE. Makes sure your Total targets < 350K. Otherwise you may need to purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
