Is the phone app misbehaving for you?

I am noticing two issues that have surfaced this week. The first is that all data will disappear as if I am refreshing data. I will go to the app to create a customer or create an invoice, and the database of customers and products will be gone. I wait a minute or poke around on the app, and suddenly it reappears. 

 

The second issue, and I think this is related, is that my high volume products will be gone. This is a nice feature, where high volume products will be at the top of the list, and with that gone, I have to go searching for the product each time. This seems to happen with updating data; before, even with an update, it would keep high volume products at the top of the list. 

 

I spoke with QBO phone support, they said that the app is meant as a convenience, not for conducting business. I have never heard that before. This phone app is the only reason I use QBO, since I am away from my pc all day. When the app acts differently, it is hard for me to conduct business.

This might have something to do with the device. To check try clearing your mobile’s cache or try downloading the app on a different phone. 
Though, if you’re still experiencing the issue after trying the steps above, I’d recommend contacting the support team. They have extra tools to look into this further. 


Here’s how to reach them:

  1. Tap the three bars at the top.
  2. Scroll down and tab Help & Feedback.
  3. Tap Help & Support.
  4. Choose a topic.
  5. Scroll down and tap Get Phone Number.

I'd like to take this opportunity to provide you with information on how to fix your mobile app behavior. In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting step to isolate this issue.

 

There are times that the application is full of data stored on it, thus causing some errors and/or unusual responses. To get this fix, let's try to uninstall and reinstall the application. This will remove temporary data files on your application.

I deleted the app and downloaded it again. This has solved the data issue. But now something new is happening: if I am in the middle of creating something in the app, like a product or receipt, and then I press the home key on my phone, everything is lost and I have to start over again, it returns to the qbo main screen when I go back to the app. It used to save my spot when I returned to the app.
