Join nowWe have years all the way back to 1998. We would like to archive everything before the year 2011. Is this possible? If it is not possible and we choose to delete all files dated before 2011 will we be able to restore them at a later time? We have already saved the files to a disk drive but are hoping we can archive or just want to make sure that we would be able to re import the files back into quick books if needed for any reason at a later time.

I am using Desktop for Mac. Can I delete/archive data from before 2013?
Hello there, bbnoonan.
If you're trying to delete a company file from your 2013 QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, then you will need to locate the file and move it to trash.
To do a backup, you can follow the instructions in this article: Back up your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac company file.
