Mac Desktop 2019 purchased. Just a few short weeks later was informed my files could be corrupted without a patch for the new MacOS Catalina. Have attempted to upgrade following instructions, but I get an error box that says I have to move the application to a non read-only drive but I have confirmed that the application is stored in my Applications folder. Any suggestions on how I can resolve the issue?
To get the best possible support on this i recommend calling into our Customer Care Team as they can assist you with getting this corrected and well share screen-shares, etc with you and look into this issue closer. To get in touch with support just follow these steps below.
Open your QB Desktop.
Go to Help, now click on QB Desktop Help.

I followed the directions up to step 3 but there is no box to describe my issue. I found a "contact us" button but it only gave me a phone number for sales. Found a chat window (again directing me to sales) and the agent sent me a link to chat help, but when I tried to initiate the chat, my access was denied. Sigh.
I want to upgrade to a new MacBook however I use QB 2019 desktop and I have no interest in changing to QB online version. Do you have any information on the compatibility of QB with MacOS Catalina? Thanks!
Though, you can install your QuickBooks 2019 with Parallel Desktop. This allows you to run the Windows version of QuickBooks on Mac. I suggest reaching out to an IT expert for further assistance in installing the software.
