multi user mode quickbooks 20

My company Uses QuickBooks Enterprise 20 desktop.  I have 6 users that use it in multi user mode.  I'm running into a situation where one of the users is unable to access the company file, because it is asking to have the company file upgraded.  This is has done slightly more incremental updates than the other users, but it was my understanding that as long as everyone is using Edition 20 it didn't matter if they had different incremental updates.  The company file should work for everyone.  To be specific the other users are on version 30.0.4005.3000 or 30.0.4006.3000 and the user who is having the issue is using version 30.0.4007.3000.  Do I need to roll that user back to a previous update?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, @amunson.

I appreciate you providing the details of your concern. Once the file was already updated, rolling back to the previous update is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). To resolve this, let's make sure that all of the software is up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes.

Here's how to update your QBDT online:

  1. Close your QBDT and open a browser.
  2. Go to this URL:
  3. Enter your countryproduct, and version.
  4. Then click Search.
  5. From the Already Downloaded? select Get the latest updates
  6. When the qbwebpatch download completes, double-click to install the update.

For more information about updating your QBDT, please refer to this article link: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. This will provide you detailed steps in updating your software manually.

Also, I'd attached here a helpful article that you can read through to check the compatibility of your computer system with your QuickBooks software: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2020.

Fill me in if you have other QuickBooks concern. I'll be around to help you. Stay safe and take care always, amunson.
