Good day, deb3756.

You have the option to align checks in QuickBooks Desktop. I'll walk you through the steps.

  1. Go to File and select Printer Setup.
  2. Click the Form Name drop-down arrow and select Check/Paycheck.
  3. Select a check style.
  4. Click on Align.
  5. In the Vertical and Horizontal fields, enter a number to specify how much and in what direction to move the printed text on the form.
  6. Click on Print Sample.
  7. When the fine adjustment settings are correct, click on OK
  8. Click on OK to close the Printer setup window.

For a more in-depth information about aligning transactions in QuickBooks, check out this link: Align checks, invoices, and other forms for continuous-feed (dot matrix) printers.

Let me also share this link about creating, modifying, and printing checks for future reference.
