Re: My CPA gave me the export file from quickbook. How to load it

It's nice to see you here to day, @omprakash-de,

Before anything else, may I know if you're using QuickBooks Desktop? If so, once you receive an Accountant's Copy (.QBX) from your accountant, you can convert it working file (.QBA). Here's how to do that:

  1. Click the File menu, then select Open and Restore Company.
  2. Select Convert an Accountant’s Copy Transfer File.
  3. Hit Next until you see the Open Accountant's Copy Transfer File window.
  4. Browse the location of the file and click Open.
  5. Choose where you want to save the file.
  6. Click Save.

That should complete your work. I've also included here an article to guide you with the steps: Convert the accountant's copy to an accountant's working file

If you're referring to something else, please update me immediately. I'll be more than happy to help you out anytime. Have a good one!

You tagged your post as QB Online. If you wish to import a desktop company file into an online company follow this procedure https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Export-data-file-from-QuickBooks-Online-to-Des... after downloading free trial of desktop to your computer and loading the company file provided by your cpa.

But if it is the export to online from desktop file you have upload to qbo from a computer with quickbooks desktop installed. So you may have the wrong file from the cpa or they should do the upload for you.
