Let's get to the bottom of this, sod99.

 

There are different possible causes of the Banking Error 9999. It might be:

  • the connection between your bank's website and QuickBooks Online is interrupted.
  • browser cache is piled up on your browser.
  • a Windows registry related to QuickBooks is damaged.
  • a QuickBooks-related component is corrupted in your system.

You can report this error straight to our engineers. This issue is usually resolved within 8-10 business days.

 

Aside from reporting the issue, we can also do different troubleshooting steps:

  • Browser troubleshooting to get rid any-cache related issues.
  • Disconnect and reconnect bank to reestablish a connection between the two programs.

Though cache helps background processes, it can also cause issues when piled up on a program.

  1. Use a private browser when accessing QuickBooks Online. It still uses cache but doesn't store them. Then, update the Banking page manually.
  2. You can also use other supported browsers if necessary. Each of them stores different cache-sets.

If the same thing happens, we can disconnect and reconnect your bank. This will create a fresh connection between your bank's website and QuickBooks Online.

 

If none of the troubleshooting steps work, we can use a WebConnect file to import your banking transactions. We can use this workaround while waiting for the error to be fixed. Here are links that you can use when importing the WebConnect file:
