Is anyone else experiencing issues printing packing slips? Within the last week, when my administrative assistant (who is a "standard user") creates an invoice and prints a packing slip it doesn't show the "Item Name" text on the Packing Slip - only the "Description" text. But if I create an invoice (I am an admin) it prints correctly. If I go into an invoice that she originally created, it doesn't print right. But if I create the invoice the packing slip will be fine. The same invoice form is selected by both users. The packing slip specs are edited in the standard invoice form since there is no custom form for a packing slip. The exact same selections are chosen with both users. We have toggled different invoice styles - it doesn't matter. It doesn't make a bit of sense. Anyone else experiencing this?
I've checked and found no reported issues related to this. Switching to different invoice styles is a good start to refresh the template of the packing slip. Since the packing slips are still not printing correctly, we can try a few browser troubleshooting steps.
Open QBO in a private browser and print the packing slips there.
This is a useless reply. The issue comes from Quickbooks not letting the user change the template of the packing slip separately from the invoice. We also have issues with Packing Slips displaying a "SERVICE" column instead of the SKU that shows up on the Invoice. Even if you try to create a custom Packing Slip template by starting from an Invoice, no matter what you do, it still keeps the "PAID" stamp and shows the dollar amount paid on the Packing Slip, which is not per industry standards and can put the shipment in jeopardy if someone sees this value during transit. This is a ridiculous oversight on behalf of Intuit and needs to be resolved ASAP!
