Join nowHello,
I just finished a successful install of QB 2021 Pro in a trial version; however when I try to launch, I get a error 3371. I have already verified that the EntitlementDataStore file does not even exist. My system is up to date. Does anyone have a valid fix for this?
Hello there, TheodorusIND.
We can start troubleshooting by looking into your system requirements if it's compatible with our software. Also, there can be a damaged file that needs to be isolated to fix the error. You can refer to this article that will help you fix Error 3371.
Keep me posted on how this works. Take care!
Hello Catherine,
I have experienced this error with multiple versions of QB and I have verified all system requirements. I have ran several versions of QB before. The Entitlement ecml file does not exist.
Thanks for keeping me posted, TheodorusIND.
Have you tried downloading and installing the QuickBooks Tool Hub and you still get the same thing? I'd suggest reaching out to our Phone Support Team so they can help you locate and delete the Entitlement file. You can use this link to know about our support hours and the type and get in touch with us outside the system.
Always know the Community is available 24/7. Feel free to mention me if you have other questions. Stay safe!
I have ran the Tool Hub fix multiple times and I already know how to locate the Entitlement file. However in this case, the Entitlement file was never created.
I have some ideas to help fix the error you're getting, @TheodorusIND.
First, let me share the possible reasons why you're getting error 3371 in QuickBooks:
Since running the Tool Hub won't fix the issue, I recommend performing a clean install. This helps resolve company file or program errors when opening it.
To start, please download the installer for your QuickBooks version. Also, ensure to have the license and product numbers handy.
Once ready, you can now uninstall the program. Let me guide you how:
Once done, you can proceed with reinstalling the software. If the above steps don't fix the issue, please proceed to Solution 2 in this article: Clean install QuickBooks Desktop.
If the issue persists, I suggest working with your IT professional or contact Microsoft support. This way, they can check further as there may be corruption to your Windows Operating System.
When everything's good, I recommend backing up your files. This way, you can restore them in case of any accidental data loss.
You can count on me if you have some follow-up questions about handling your QuickBooks software. I'll be here to help.
First of all, this is a brand new installation of QuickBooks. Second, I am the IT professional for the client in question. Third, I have successfully ran other version of QuickBooks Desktop on this same system without difficulty. Windows is up to date and confirmed to be working properly.
