Glad to have you here in the Community, @PSB-SynFiny.
Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix performance issues when using QuickBooks Statement Writer (QSW).
First off, let's make sure that your QuickBooks Desktop is updated. Here's how:
- Go to the Help menu, then select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Select the Update Now tab.
- Put a checkmark on the Reset Update checkbox and select Get Updates.
Once done, restart your QBDT and accept the option to install the new release when prompted.
If you get the same result, let's try updating the latest version of QSW.
- QuickBooks Statement Writer.
- Select Help Center, then Update.
- If a Download/Install update prompt appears every time you open QSW or shows up after updating, select Cancel to open QSW.
If the issue persists, you'll have to verify your current Regional Settings and change it if needed. To verify your Regional Settings, check your system tray if there is a Window language bar. If you see codes for other languages like EN and JP, you have to change your regional settings to English (United States/Canada).
If the solutions above don't work, you can read this article for more troubleshooting steps to fix issues with QSW: Fix problems with Statement Writer.
Also, please know that performing the solutions on the article, won't lose your company file.
I'm also adding this article to know more about the feature and benefits of using the QSW: Use and navigate QuickBooks Statement Writer (QSW).
