QB for Mac

I have a client on QB for Mac 2011 who needs to move to QB for Mac 2020.  Is it possible to do that in one leap or, if not, how can I get a QB for Mac 2016 trial version to use as a stepping stone?  Thank you, Nancy Cuneo, [email address removed]

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, ncuneo5559.

QuickBooks Desktop users are able to upgrade at anytime, regardless of which version they're currently using. The process can be initiated while your application is open:
1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, then Upgrade QuickBooks.
2. Click Upgrade Now.
3. Choose the one you want to upgrade to.
4. Hit Upgrade Now.
5. Select Let's go.

Now your product will download, install, and register the new software. An updated copy of your company file will also be created.

There's no requirement to get QBDT 2016 for upgrading, however it can be obtained through our Downloads webpage.

I've included a few helpful resources which may come in handy moving forward:

@ncuneo5559

I am not sure you may convert the company file directly. We don't have the trial license of QB Mac 2011, but we may share the trial license of QBD Pro 2011 and 2015 as a workaround.
