QB Log Files

We have a QuickBooks folder that has over 10,000 files in it.  Three, four, or five files get created every minute.  A developer must know why these files are being created and how to stop them from being created.  Here is the path and example of a file:

Path:  C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Intuit\QuickBooks\Log\27.0

File name:  QBW32DOTNET5533.log, QBW32DOTNET5534, etc.

Please help.

Thank you.

QB Log Files

Sending good vibes to you, DSInc.

Allow me to help and provide you some insights regarding QuickBooks Log Files. QuickBooks uses different types of files to store different types of data. These files are automatically created by QuickBooks.

These are usually logs of all changes that are about to be made to the company file (.qbw) and stored in the same folder or location.

To check what are the types of files you have, I'd suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Technical Support.

All account-related concerns are directed to our phone support for security purposes.  Our tech agents have the necessary tools to help you review the files based on their extensions and path.

To ensure we address your concern on time, check out our support hours. In the meantime, you might want to check these resources to know more about other types of files that QuickBooks Desktop has as well as finding the QBWin.log in QuickBooks.

File types and extensions used by QuickBooks Desktop

Find QBWin.log or QuickBooks.log files

Feel free to reach again if you have any other questions. I’d be more than willing to lend you a hand. Have a good one.

Thank you for the reply.  I understand that Technical Support is the best option but they are unreachable.  I'm hoping someone in the Community can help.
