QBO Advanced set up instead of QBO Plus

I tried setting up a new client in one of the unused 5 for $25 QBO Plus accounts we have.  I have done this 3 times already with no issues.  The initial set-up went fine, but when the QBDT file was imported it created a second company with 2020 at the end of the name in QBO Advanced.  I cannot access that company through my ProAdvisor account - the client had to send me an invitation.  I am confused as to why this happened and how it is going to affect the billing of the account?  Is there a way to correct this or should we delete the 2020 company QBOA created and start over?

Thanks -

QBO Advanced set up instead of QBO Plus

I'm here to help settle your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, kmm731.

You can cancel the Advanced account in case you need to access some of your data instead of deleting it. Then, start over with QBO Plus

The cancellation process will stop the subscription charges. Here's how to cancel it:

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, select Account and Settings.
  2. Select the Billing and subscription tab.
  3. Click Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the steps to cancel your account. If you use payroll, you should cancel your payroll account too.

Once done, you can proceed importing the QBDT file to QBO.

If you need assistance with your billing, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Team. They can pull up your account and check the charges from the current version you have.

Here's how to contact them:

  1. Sign-in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
