Quickbooks Desktop for mac 2016

Did you ever come up with a way to install Quickbooks Desktop for Mac 2016 without me having to create a new login to my computer and install it there? This method is useless to me!

Quickbooks Desktop for mac 2016

Hello there, @atukt16.

I'm here to help share information about installing QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac.

When installing whatever version of QBDT for Mac, it won't require or ask any login. It's possible that the login was with your company file.

To learn more about installing and setting up QBDT for Mac, you may check this article: Install and set up QuickBooks Mac Desktop.

On the other hand, it would be best to update your QuickBooks from time to time. For the detailed instructions, you may check it here: Update QuickBooks Mac Desktop.

In addition, you may check our QBDT Mac articles for your future reference: Help articles for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Just add a post/comment below if you have any other questions about installing QuickBooks, I'll be right here to help you however I can. Have a good day ahead!

I didn't go through the motions because I went through that in the beginning and I ended up being told by Quickbooks support team I needed to create a new login on my computer (not the program) which was a lame suggestion and made it unusable IMO.

However... I installed it again where I wanted it in the first place but, unlike the first time when I first purchased it, it worked. IDK if it was because I now am running High Sierra or what but it didn't require that I create a new computer login like before. It allowed me to install the latest updates and after expanding my most recent backup, I was able to get that up and running too. Too bad this version is now out of date (it's the 2016 version) but I never wanted it to connect to my bank in the first place so I'm OK with it.

I'm not too excited about trying any new upgrades until it's been out there a while. I don't like being the one who works out the bugs in new programs. Not gonna do the online version either. Quicken is now dead to me for that very reason.
