@HoneyLynn_G is correct. 2.4 Ghz processor as a minimum is the as tested and approved and guaranteed to work. Here is a corollary. You might have a performance car that requires 91 octane gas but can you run it on cheaper 87? Sure but performance will be lower and over time it can cause mechanical problems.
A quick search brings up a deal at Dell, for example. 11" laptop that meets minimum specs for QB for only $180. That is less than the price of the software
