Join nowHi,
I am trying to convert Sage 50 to Quickbooks desktop and it tells me that it can't find sage on the computer. It clearly is on the computer, but once I get the error it won't even let me click browse to have me select it. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks.

Hi. I am having the same issue. Specifically, "We couldn't find Sage / Peachtree...". Both applications are installed and functional. I have launched them without problem. Is there a problem with the conversion tool? Thanks.
Hi Hornetts,

Hi Maria, thanks for your reply. Both apps were already installed on the same PC. In fact, I am using a VM. Both apps can be launched, and can access their data. It is the conversion tool that seems to be having the problem.

Create a dummy file on Sage and try convert it on your QB Desktop. If the problem still persists, install the trial license of Pro 2020 or Enterprise 2020, and try convert it on one of them.
I am discovering, based on other posts that I have seen, that the conversion tool only runs on 32-bit systems. First, I'd appreciate it if that can be confirmed. This would explain why I continue to have problems. Second, if this is true, is there a 32-bit enabled version of Quickbooks Desktop that I can successfully download AND install on a Windows XP virtual machine? Thanks.
You have to find the license, product and activation code for QB Desktop 2013 or older to run on Win XP
