Error 6000,-83 restoring a new file

Hi

I am trying to restore a file from a client version Premier 2016 Nonprofit Version to 2017 QB Pro. I keep getting error message 6000, -83

The name of the file is PAL.QBW

I have the latest update, downloaded sample file, turn off mult-user mode.

I tried using the Quickbooks Doc., but it does not see the QBW file

I used QB Tool Hub and ran file issues, program problems.

Please help, thank you in advance.

It is possible your data file (QBW) in multi-user mode. Ask your client to send their backup file (QBB) instead.
