I need assistance with deleting a duplicate payroll entry in error

Let me give you the steps on how to delete a duplicate payroll entry.

If you're referring to paychecks, you can go to the Workers' menu and then select Overview to view the paycheck list. There, you can click the amount for you to have an option to delete it.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Workers and then select Overview.
2. Click View paycheck list.
3. Select the amount under the Net Pay column.
4. And then click Delete.
   
5. Check the I understand that this action cannot be undone box to confirm.
6. Click Delete Paycheck.
   

However, if you're suggesting to delete a tax payment, there are certain things and periods when you can and can't delete a tax payment.

You can delete a payment if:

• You recorded the tax payment manually.
• The payment hasn't been processed electronically.

Timing

• Federal tax payments can be deleted two business days before the payment date before 5 pm PST.
• State tax payments have different lead-time for processing.

Let me show you how to delete a tax payment:

1. Go to Taxes and then select Payroll tax.
2. Select View tax payments you have made under Taxes.
3. Select the name of the tax payment. Change the date range if necessary.
4. From the drop-down, select Delete.
5. Select Yes to confirm.

For taxes and paychecks that can't be deleted, you can contact our Payroll Support for assistance. They have the tools to pull up your account and help you delete the paychecks.
