First, try to check if your current browser is compatible with QuickBooks Online. You can use the browser health checkup tool.
Then, try to check if you can log in using other browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Safari 11 or newer (Mac only) and the like.

C'mon Intuit. Your service is ridiculously crappy. Almost two months after this first started cropping up, the Mac app still does not connect (web works fine). I've downloaded and re-installed with no luck.
Don't insult us with useless fixes. Just correct the error and post an update to the App already.
Our product team is still investigating the bad gateway errors when logging in to companies using the QBO desktop app, David-Kohl.
I'd suggest reaching out to our Phone Support Team so they can add your account to the open investigation. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and a permanent fix will be sent via email.
