Quickbook Pro 2019 and Windows Local User Accounts

New to QB. I have been tasked with creating workstations to provide QB Pro 2019 training. I have installed QBP2019 with no problems and the lic and product key worked fine. I have 2 local Windows admin accounts on the machine and 1 local Windows user account meant for student log in. I am able to see the QB on the desktop and start menu in both admin accounts. However, I do not see any easy access to QBP 2019 from the local user account. No start menu or desktop links. Thank you for you time and assistance

Welcome aboard to the Community. I'm here to help provide additional clarification about accessing QuickBooks Desktop.

 

When installing the program, you'll have the option to install QuickBooks for the current user only or for all users.

 

If you're not getting an option to choose, you can go to the install location and manually add a shortcut into the desktop. In case you need the detailed steps in installing QuickBooks, I'm adding the article on this as well:

 

Install QuickBooks Desktop.

 

I also recommend seeking assistance from an IT guy if you're still unable to show them from the Local User account. They'll be able to check the installation on your end.

 

Please let me know if I can be of any assistance with opening the Local User account. I'll be sure to get back to you here in the Community.

Problem solved. The machines not showing start menu items and desktop links were actually never installed, only downloaded install files showing on desktop.
