Sage 50 conversion failed

First, you need to convert Sage 50 to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) then migrate the file from QBDT to QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can convert from Sage 50 using the conversion tool. For a trouble-free data conversion, you may need to check few things before using the tool:

• Make sure that your Sage 50 and QuickBooks Desktop are installed locally in the same computer.
• Be sure that your QuickBooks database and Sage 50's associated files are saved locally in your computer's hard drive.
• Cross-region conversion isn't' possible using the tool.

If you find any missing transactions, be sure to check the failed transaction log file located at: C:\Users\YourUserName\My Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks ConversionTool\.

After converting Sage 50 to QBDT, you can now start migrating/converting the QBDT file to QBO.

@Angelyn_T  what do you mean by "cross-region conversion"?

I am having similar issuing, trying to convert Sage 50 to QuickBooks, but keep aborting within the conversion process, most times after 50% conversion.

Please advise.

Cross-region conversion means that you converted it to a US version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), then to an International QuickBooks Online (QBO) or vice versa. That said, make sure that you're using the same version for both QBDT and QBO. Otherwise, the conversion won't go through completely.

In addition, make sure your computer meets the QuickBooks Desktop system requirements. Even if it's just for conversion purposes, it's important that your computer is compatible with QuickBooks to ensure the process will go through seamlessly.

Lastly, if you still can't complete the conversion, I'd highly recommend that you reach out to the Technical Support Team. They have specialized resources that'll help you with this.

We have managed to move across some data from Sage to Quickbooks.

Bank is sorted.

Our sales invoices are on there as are most supplier invoices, however none of these are linked to a project. We have no projects - they have been loaded by Quickbooks as Sub-customers. We have found a way to manually convert all Sub-Customers to projects, but only the Master Administrator can do so. Even so, once all projects are converted there will still be no data on them. I can manually enter a project reference when i open up and edit a supplier invoice, however with 14000+ invoices from 1 supplier, and many suppliers this seems like madness to me!

On sage we had labour and materials costs on each project, I can save this information and upload data however it's not linked to anything. Essentially, Quickbooks is currently acting as a copy of our bank account. Any help as to how to get all of our data across from Sage would be greatly appreciated as i'm keen to move over to Quickbooks but don;t have the time to manually input project references onto each supplier invoice.
