Yes. As long as you are not working on the same file at the same time with both machines. Utilize a cloud service (e.g DBox, GDrive) to store your file and download it to your local machine.

To move or reinstall QBDT to another computer, you can use either the Migrating Tool or do it manually. Let me show you how.

Before we start thou, you’ll want to ensure your laptop meets the system requirements for the software to run smoothly. For reference, feel free to check these articles:

• System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2020 and Enterprise Solutions 20.0

Then to use the Migrator Tool, go to your old computer:

1. From QuickBooks, go to the File menu.
2. Select Utilities and then select Move QuickBooks to another computer.
3. Click I'm Ready, then create a one-time password.
4. Follow the instructions to choose the USB flash drive you’ll use.

On the new computer:

1. Insert the USB flash drive. Due to Windows security restrictions, the Migrator Tool won’t automatically launch.
2. Open the flash drive to view its files and double-click the file Move_QuickBooks.bat to start the migrator.
3. Enter the password you created, then select Let's go.
4. Wait for the Migrator Tool to finish.

Once you’ve moved your QBDT software to your laptop, you’ll want to copy your company file to a new location. Installing QBDT to another computer doesn’t move your company file. To guide you through the process, you can utilize this article: Move your company files to another computer.
