System Bug After Auto Update UI

If I click total,I can't click detail of transaction that cash in hand .System show alert message "You don’t have access to view this report" . A few week ago quickbook system auto update UI. Then this bug found. 

1)Click Balance Sheet or Balance Sheet Summary

Changes like this are usually done by the Master Admin, htoohtoowai.


It could be that the Master Admin of the company file changed your access rights to view the reports. I'd suggest checking with her/him to verify this. However, if you're getting this error when you're the Admin, we can do the browser troubleshooting steps.


First, open your QBO account in a private browser and pull up the Balance Sheet report there. If you can click the total amount without getting any errors, go back to your previous browser and clear out the cache. This will remove the corrupted files that cause odd behaviors in QBO. You can also use Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to access your reports.

I am report only role. I have already tested every browser and I  used update browser. Every report only role person cann't double click on trial account in my office.

Allow me to share additional information to resolve this concern, @htooohtoowai.


Using the information you’ve provided, I have replicated your concern here on my end and was able to navigate successfully around the reports page.


One possible reason you’re prompted with the error is how your user access was set-up. To verify this, you can ask the account’s master admin to create a new report only user account. If the newly created user was able to view successfully the details of the Balance sheet report, I’d recommend reviewing your user access.


To add a new report only user, here’s how:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Manage User.
  3. Click Add User.
  4. Select Reports Only.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Type in your Contact information.
  7. Click Next.

The new reports only user will receive an email invitation. Once accepted, the user will now have a read-only access to all reports on the account except the Audit Log and Payroll Reports. He will be able to manage the reports, customize and memorize reports and view the list of transactions included on the report. However, they’ll not be able to view and edit the actual transaction.


On the other hand, to isolate this issue as browser related, let’s apply the following troubleshooting steps one more time:

  1. Access your account using an incognito or private browser. Kindly use either of the following shortcut keys:
    • Google Chrome, press CTRL  + Shift + N.
    • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  + Shift + P.
    • Internet Explorer: press CTRL  + Shift + P.
    • Safari: press Command + Shift + N.
  2. If you’re able to navigate around the reports page, you may want to clear your browser’s history.
  3. You can also use the Browser Health Checkup Tool to check any issues with your browser’s health and its compatibility with QuickBooks Online.
