Join nowHello,
I develop software that works with QuickBooks, so I need to have multiple versions of QB installed for testing purposes. I've been running both QB Enterprise v19 and v20 US on the same computer without incident for some time.
I now also need to install the QB Enterprise v20 Canada version. When I try to install the Canadian version, it tells me that I already have QB Enterprise installed, I assume because it's seeing the US version. Is it possible to get both versions installed on the same computer? Or will I need to use a different computer for this?

Hi there, @DanBrill.
Thank you for raising your concern here with us on the Community page. I can share with you some information about installing QuickBooks Desktop.
Yes, you need to install the Canadian version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) on a different computer. Installing multiple regions of QuickBooks in one computer is currently not supported. Thus, you're getting that error message.
On a separate computer, open this link, and select the Download button to download the CA version of QBDT Enterprise. Then, proceed with installing QuickBooks. For an additional guide, open this article.
After you install, QuickBooks will ask you to activate and update it. If you need detailed steps, here's how to activate QuickBooks Desktop.
Please let me know how else I can help you with QuickBooks. I've got your back and am always happy to help. Keep safe always!
Thanks, Fiat Lux. I got a copy of QB Premier 2021 Canada and that installs without any issues. That's enough for my testing needs. Much easier than having to jump between multiple machines for testing.
