Re: Why is logo in Preview screen much larger than the actual logo on a printed form?

Hello there, mrtrimidaho.

The logo showing on your Print or Preview depends on settings you choose through the Custom Form Style. You can make sure to select the correct size from there.

Here's how:

  1. Click Gear.
  2. Click Custom Form Styles.
  3. In the Custom form styles window, choose the Standard form and then Edit.
  4. Click the Design tab, and then click Make logo edits.
  5. Click Show logo if you have an existing company logo.
  6. Click Done.

Learn more about customizing templates in QBO through this link.

When you print the invoice and the same thing happens, I suggest we perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate this.

To begin, let's use an incognito or private browser when paying e-invoice. This is to know if it's the cache that's causing this unexpected behavior. Below are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome, press CTRL  Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press CTRL  Shift P
  • Internet Explorer: press CTRL  Shift P

Once you're able to select all when receiving payments, you can clear the cache of your regular web browsers. Otherwise, try using other supported browsers.

If you have other QuickBooks related questions, just let me know. I'd be more than happy to help.

Re: Why is logo in Preview screen much larger than the actual logo on a printed form?

I have the logo settings at large, in preview it is proportional to the company’s name and address, when I go to print it it’s way smaller.  I have no idea what or why your talking about browsers and cache clearing while paying an e-invoice.  I need my logo to print large like it looks on preview, not small as it does.  QBO is showing it large in preview and when I’m in edit mode, when it gets sent or printed it’s much smaller.  Does this make sense?

Hello mrtrimidaho,

You should have the same size when printing the logo from QuickBooks. Since you're getting the same result, you can try checking this article to fix the size of the logo.

If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting our Phone Support Team. This way, we can investigate why you're having this issue.

Here are the steps to contact us:

  1. Click Help (?).
  2. Click Contact us.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern (printing logo).
  4. Then, click Let's Talk.
  5. Click Get a callback.
  6. Enter your contact information.
  7. Select Call me.

Let us know if this helps you fix the size when printing the logo. I'll be right here in case you need my help.

I am having the same issue and your support team says that at this time you cannot make the logo any larger. It's very frustrating as the logo looks very out of proportion to the rest of the invoice once it is printed...even when you select the large logo size in setup.

Hi @vickyspectrumelectric,

Let's try to import a custom form style. This way we can isolate a possible issue with the default templates already available.

Once done, we need to get to the Custom Form Styles page and add your company logo.

Here's how:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Custom Form Styles.
  2. Click the custom form style you imported.
  3. Under the Design tab, press Make logo edits. Choose the logo you want to add (make sure you select the large logo option).
  4. Hit Done when finished.

If the issue persists, go back to the Custom Form Styles page. Toggle the logo size to something other than large, then Save it. Go back right after, then toggle it back to large.

In case you still experience the same issue at this point, I suggest contacting our Technical Support team for further help. They can initiate a screen sharing with your permission so they can investigate it for you.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click the Help menu.
  3. Select Contact us.

Post any other questions in the comments below, if you have any. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
