Reinstalled Quickbooks 2016 destop font and icons too small to even read.

Just reinstalled Quickbooks 2016 on a new computer and the font and icons on the desktop home screen are so tiny I can't read them - also in the help screens.  This was not the case on a comparable model computer with the same Windows 10 operating system.

I cannot seem to find anything in the program to adjust the size of the view. Help! It is almost unusable!

Your desktop resolution is too high for QuickBooks.  You have to dumb it down to last-decade standards in order for QB to render properly.  This has been an issue for perhaps 10 years that Intuit has not addressed, even though native screen resolutions have been consistently improving to the point that now a pretty standard default resolution on a new computer is too high for QB.

Thank you Big Red person. I have read that this has been a problem forEVER... but I still don't know what to do about it. I don't know what "dumb... down [the desktop resolution] to last-decade standards" means. Practically speaking what do I DO?

I'm using QB2015 - You will need to go into the Display settings of your windows 10 machine. Right click on desktop, Display Settings. Under Scale and Layout - there you can use the Resolution area. It's probably pretty high, like mine (3200x1800) ... I had to change mine down to a much lower resolution 1920x1080 and that worked.  You do have to logout of your machine and log back in for QB to take effect. (There's an option right there in that window to do this.) I then later changed it back when I was done for my other applications.

It is a known QB issues, and I've read that 2017 version (might) have fixed this. But it was just a comment someone wrote somewhere.

This is also a good link to issues about it.
