Remote Check Printing

Hi,

This is the challenge.  While the QB users are in one city the checks need to be printed in a different city to be handed over.  In looking through docs it says printer must be connected physically to the printer.  I need it to also have the signature on the check.

Any recommendations and/or solutions?

Remote Check Printing

Hello there, spelts.

Let me direct you to the right place where you can look for an application that can do remote check printing in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

We have a specific website where you can check for available third party applications that can be integrated with QBO. This provides a list of applications recommended by our developers as it is most compatible with QuickBooks.

Please check out this link to learn more about different online applications that works best with QuickBooks: https://apps.intuit.com/.

Remote Check Printing

I have used the following solution for remote printing and it should work for you. Download and install a FREE pdf printer program. I use BullZip and it works quite well as an installed printer for QuickBooks.  Select the pdf printer for your print job. And save the created pdf.  What I like about BullZip us it creates and saves the pdf before you even see it on screen. You could even go ahead and print off the pdf on plain paper for reference. But now what you do is email the pdf print job to anyone, anywhere, that has a printer and your check stock. They print it off and you cannot tell the difference between printed directly or from off. I do it probably 10 times per year.

Now I have an authorized signer at the print location but with the proper paid pdf editor you could add the signatures to the pdf before emailing.

The other alternative is truly use a wireless web enabled printer that essentially has its own web address and you can print remotely despite what you have read

Remote Check Printing

I would like to know based on the reply below will a check number still be required and once the checks are processed in QuickBooks I will need to save the file in PDF form and email it to the remote location.
