Hey, bforman. Thanks for reaching out to our community. Printers can be a bit tricky sometimes. Luckily I have a great article on troubleshooting printing paychecks. The number one printing issue is Adobe Acrobat Reader not being installed. This will cause the pdf file to be sent to an incompatible pdf reader, such as the one native inside of Google Chrome for example.
Follow these quick steps to double-check your installation of the pdf reader:
- Type Control Panel in the bottom left windows search bar.
- Select the Control Panel app.
- In the bottom left, select Programs.
- Then select, Programs and Features.
- Look for the program Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- If you don't see the program on the list, then you can download the pdf reader from here.
After you go through those steps, give the printing a couple of test tries. If it still doesn't work, try the remaining troubleshooting steps in the article mentioned above. If you're continuing to experience inconsistency with printing, you may need to contact your IT professional to take a look at your printer as there may be an underlying hardware issue. Let me know how it goes.
