Update Crashes

Basic 5 user Enterprise setup 2021 Windows 10 Pro in a Domain with Windows Server 2016 as the PDC.  Running TrendMicro WorryFree Business Services on all 6.  Server2016 is both a host (the server with the data files being shared) and (for testing purposes) also a workstation.  The issue is when you start up QB32W.EXE and there is an update available, if you choose to update now all sorts of bad stuff happens.  My question is:  which EXECUTABLES should I allow to run so TrendMicro doesn't destroy Quickbooks database services to die and stop the update install?  Thank you.

Update Crashes

Let's get this sorted out, Tsgroup1.

First, we'll have to ensure that Multi-user is set up correctly.

Then, reach out to your IT personnel or TrendMicro support to verify which executables that you'll have to allow so QuickBooks database services won't stop installing the updates.

Once done, try to update QuickBooks to the latest release.

I just added the entire folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit to the EXCLUSION lists and QBUPDATE and QB32W EXE's to the OKAY program lists.  Hopefully that solves it.  Thanks.

The context of TrendMicro Scan Exclusion Server policy should include the full path ending with a hack-asterisk. In my case, it needed to be typed as follows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 21.0\*
