Update Error

Using QuickBooks Pro 2017 Desktop. About two weeks ago, I started to get this message every time I open Quickbooks. (Have attached screen shot) When I click on install now, nothing happens and it just hangs up. When I click on install later, it opens as normal. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. I also downloaded all updates from the Quickbooks web site. Same issue. Any thoughts?

I appreciate the screenshot you've provided and performing some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

 

There are two ways on how you can update your QuickBooks Desktop release version. To avoid getting the update error, you can manually install and download the patches via the website or inside the QuickBooks software.

 

To download the updates inside QuickBooks:

 

  1. From the QuickBooks Help menu, select Update QuickBooks.
  2. On the Update QuickBooks window, go to the Update Now tab. You can ignore the table because you don't need to change anything.
  3. (Optional) Put a check mark in the box Reset Update box to erase all previous update downloads.
    Note: This may increase the amount of time needed for the update.
  4. Select Get Updates.

I'm using your new hassle free message us service.  I've been on hold for 30 minutes.  doesn't even say that I'm in que. I'll be searching to an alternative to QB.  I paid for the program where I could call in for service.  So much for that. Not happy
