Upgrading 20MB 2009 data file in QB Mac Desktop

I’m trying to upgrade a 2009 20 MB datafile into QB 2019.

When I do, I get an empty dialog. See attached.

I can open and convert an old QBMB file, but I have been using time machine for backups, which I understand may have been a mistake. Any ideas? I don’t currently have a machine that can run 2009 – I was forced to upgrade to gain firmware for a replacement SSD.

Any advice or suggestions?

Best,

Upgrading 20MB 2009 data file in QB Mac Desktop

Welcome to the Community, John Juliano.

When you upgrade your data files from 2009 to 2019, it would be best to reach out with our Technical Support Team. They have available resources to conduct a compatibility test to migrate your data seamlessly.

Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Select your country by clicking the Globe icon.
  3. Select QuickBooks Desktop Mac.
  4. Click Search for something else then, type your concern about updating the 2009 data file
  5. Click Search.
  6. Click Start a message.

Please let me know if you need more help. Have a good one!
