We currently have Quickbooks Pro 2009 Desktop running on Windows 10. We are upgrading to Quickbooks Pro 2020. Will we have any problems? Is that a straight forward install/upgrade?
Hi there, @ vanman.
In upgrading your QuickBooks Pro 2009 to the latest version, I’d suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have tools to help you convert your file to avoid any problems.
Here’s how to reach them:
Get in touch with them during these hours:
- 6:00 AM-6:00 PM Monday-Friday
- 6:00 AM-3:00 PM Saturday
Once you upgrade to the latest version, you can check this article to know more about its new features: What’s new in QuickBooks Desktop 2020.
You can also visit our QuickBooks Comunity help website for any related articles.
Please know that I'm available here to help if there's anything else you need. Take care always.
I am not sure you will be abe to self convert from 2009 to 2020 directly in one jump. Call and ask Intuit Data Service to convert it. Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party conversion service.
You might try it and if it doesn't work then you will only have lost some time. Just be sure to use a copy of your file to try it on and print out the P&L, balance sheet, and trial balance before and after to make sure that they match.
