Upgrading QuickBooks Pro Desktop

We are running QuickBooks Pro Desktop 2017. We purchased QB Pro Desktop 2020 from Staples. When trying to upgrade, QB is not accepting the Product Key that came with our 2020 software.  Are we able to use the software we purchased from Staples?  Thank you!

Hi, @SBeavers.

 

You can utilize our Licence Look Up tool if the product label (see screenshot below) on the original packaging is not accepting.

Here's how:

  1. Go to https://emaillicense.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/licensenumber.
  2. Enter your Business email or Business phone.
  3. Click Find license and product number.

 

If you can't locate your license number and product key, I'd recommend reaching out to Staples.
