Switching back to the Mac desktop version - how do I convert from online to desktop. Very frustrated at this point.
Solved! Go to Solution.
AND before you do that, print out or to pdf all reports that you need, but at the minimum, P&L, balance sheet, sales tax liability, inventory valuation summary, a/r aging, etc etc
When you do get a desktop file run those same reports and they must match, or you will have to find the errors and correct them intuit will not help
Costly, doesn't offer MANY of the features as QB desktop does, cant edit things, no backups so if you want to restore due to messing something up from a previous back up you cannot.
I have the exactly same issue. Now I decided go to desktop pro 2020 version. Can you tell me how to get your issue solved so I can solved it by the same way? I am from Canada.

Once done, you can export your QBO data to desktop.
There are some limitations that you need to consider once you move your data. Please check this article for more information: Limitations When You Convert From QBO To QuickBooks Desktop.

Thank you. I used QBO Canada version, and it seems not support this way to transfer data to desktop pro version. I can't get anything from step 4.
I went to the website you mentioned, but it is confused. I can't find what I need.
TP Exporter for Online = export your data out of QBO
TP Importer for Desktop = import your data into QuickBooks Desktop file (QBW)
